Hi guys, I am not selling anything on Ebay, but getting members asking me Q's about push bikes. How do I contact Ebay to inform them that there is a problem with my account?

Thank you

not selling anything on Ebay

Reported it all via Live Chat two days ago as they weren't getting removed and was assured Trust & Safety would

deal with them as everything was going to them direct.

Obviously they are as useless as the rest of their mob as a simple search would pick up any new listings and they

would be Emailed when new items appeared.

That hasn't happened either as they listed two more scam items with the exact description used on previous

hijacked accounts.Angry head bang.gif

Apparently they are their listings team as well and going by the three new listings posted today they just don't have

a clue how to actually set up a basic search which makes you wonder how they think members search.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Seems like a dead giveaway is when stated "no paypal" that this is not legit.

Simple searches can easily find these sort of scammers and shut them down but eBay tends to move slowly and

some of those scammers can make quite a good profit in the mean time.

Unfortunately the Trust & Safety were based in Canada but along with other section eBay got rid of them via cost

cutting and so called improvements that made things a lot easier for scammers.

Most scammers now know to start listings on a weekend as eBay have reduced staff numbers then and off course

more people are home.

They've now dealt with all the finished listings except for the five from April, one from the 14th of May  and the

last one from May the 24th but that means removal from the site and those members that were duped into

paying by bank deposit would've lost all their money (which totalled well over twenty thousand dollars).crying.gif

It's one of the things I find absolutely baffling about eBay - these kinds of scam listings would be an absolute piece of cake to detect and flag for review if eBay actually actually wanted to - it's literally a couple of simple automated checks that barely requires any resources.

Yet they don't, and it's incredibly damaging to their brand. Unlike shill bidding, there's absolutely no incentive for eBay to let "sellers" get away with these hijacked account listings, yet as you said eBay move incredibly slowly in dealing with these listings.

Simply put, if an account with low or no selling history suddenly wants to list items with wording in the description indicating PayPal isn't accepted, the listing shouldn't go live until the account has been reviewed by a human, or at least some secondary checks have been done by their systems.

Incredibly simple and easy, yet eBay is eBay, unfortunately.

With these they have been a bit more clever and hijack accounts that are buying accounts only or only sell the odd

thing here or there and they have a higher feedback score.

The latest one today has a 157 feedback score as a buyer only and has just netted them $3300 in a couple of

hours today between 6 and 8 pm for items that have the same descriptions for the two lots of cameras and five lots

of bicycles so obviously buyers don't check.Angry head bang.gif

Previous ones had feedback scores of 85,1140,66,187,65 so no longer using low feedback accounts to hijack as

there are plenty of dormant higher feedback accounts out there that must be easy to hijack.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

When I quit off eBay, I'm gonna have to find me a scammer to sell my login details to - with an established selling history and positive feedback, it's gotta be worth at least a few $$$ to a suitably motivated and morally vacuous individual!

But they gotta pay me by bank transfer in advance only - NO PAYAL!!!

$23.000 plus so far in less than a month is a substantial income for anyone working but this mongrel is getting it

through scamming and eBay just doesn't seem to have a way of stopping them as obviously the simple things

don't work for them and they will just fob it off as buyer beware and it's not their fault.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif
