TAKE A PHOTO WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE OF THE PARCEL AT THE POST OFFICE WHICH HAS THE BUYERS ADDRESS ON IT AND A POSTAGE PAID STICKER, GO HOME UPLOAD THE PHOTO TO YOUR PC AND E-MAIL THE PHOTO TO THEM..THE BUYER...ABSOLUTE PROOF OF POSTAGE...DOES NOT FAIL!!!!:-p
I READ ON HERE THAT MANY SELLERS HAVE BUYERS ASKING..."WHERE IS MY ITEM"AFTER A FEW DAYS OF BEING POSTED,...WELL WE ALL KNOW THE BEST WAY TO POST IS REGISTERED AND SIGNED FOR,THE BUYERS THAT DO NOT OPT FOR REGISTERED MAY TRY AND GET THEIR MONEY BACK AND SAY THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PARCEL..*EVEN THOUGH YOU THE SELLER KNOWS DAMN WELL YOU HAVE POSTED IT.....I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM A FEW TIMES AND NEEDLES TO SAY HAVE BLOCKED THE BUYERS......THE BEST WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM IS EASY.....

Maybe the best thing to do is to travel with an item but a long journey in a mail bag would be very uncomfortable and claustrophobic. 😉

Yeah, I don't do well in confined spaces.

I think you would still have a hard time proving the item was delivered. All your photo proves is that you were at a post office with a parcel.

only ebay usa require proof of delivery, paypal aussie only require proof of posting, but a photo at the PO is NOT one of the criteria to avail yourself of paypal protection

For those ready to mock the idea of photos - I take photos of my packaged items OFTEN.
If only so I have a record of the address and the type of packaging used (own or prepaid satchels/numbers). It may or may not prove posting but I have found photo records to be very useful. Only takes a couple moments to line all packages up and snap a picture (I prefer to do before getting to PO)

I am quite sure it would NOT prove postage...all you have is a photo of a parcel with a buyers address on it..which I agree is handy for you but would not mean a thing if the parcel for some reason didn't reach its destination and the buyer raised an INR dispute.

Taking photo's BEFORE going to the PO makes much more sense. Actually, it's probably quite wise.

Undoubtedly the best thing you can do is start your packages off on their modelling career with a photo shoot before you send them into the world to be torn apart. 😄

If the photo shows a clear address and tracking number, and there is a tracking event for that number, I would actually be surprised if PayPal didn't accept it as proof of postage - particularly as I know they have before. 😉
Not that I would stand at the PO and photograph the package, but whatever works for some, I guess. :8}

But would it cover you for paypal if the item was sent with no tracking and no proof of postage supplied by the PO even if you have a photo?
Whats to say after you take the photo you say to the PO staff Oh I think I forgot to add a part I will bring it back when I have added the forgotten part and never return to actually hand it over.
