.sell for $1 weekends

The pay a maximum of $1 refers to not paying more than $1 for items that sell for more than $11

The actual terms on the offer page are:

Weekends only: Pay $1 When you Sell!

List as many items for free and only pay $1 in Final Value Fees per item.

It actuall says: List as many items for free and only pay $1* in Final Value Fees per item

You forgot left out the asterix (*) - which references the terms and conditions - hence where the 'maximum ' comes in

For the items I've sold under $9 I haven't paid the full $1.

My invoice is not complicated to read, seriously.  This isn't a tough concept

Making up your own "rules" now?

It does not have an asterisk as it states in full:

Louisa is correct. Read the Ts & Cs (click on "learn more"). Not only is there an asterix, it also states that $1 is the maximum amount charged (+GST), not that's what you'll be charged for everything. I have also sold items for under $9 and been charged the correct amount, not $1 (or$1.10)

As I said previously, it depends on the promo for that week.

This week's says what you say. last week's (or the one before) says what tazz and I said.

Ah well, one must love those promotions, no matter how they change.

Let me now to the T&Cs of eBay promos (by eBay minds)
Admit impediments. The amount is not the amount
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the miscounter to miscount:
O, no! it is a never-fixed promotion,
That looks on asterisks and is oft shaken;
It is the sudden storm to every ocean
Whose worthโ€™s unknown, although his listings be taken.
eBay promos're not Timeโ€™s fool, though eBay tweaks and tweaks
Within their bending dollarsโ€™s value come;
eBay promos alter much with their brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
    If this be error and upon me proved,
    I never writ, nor no T&C was e'er removed.

It must be different for different people then because I clicked on the T&Cs for each week back to the start of December, and they all say the same thing. Same promo number, same T&Cs......saying maximum $1. I must be lucky.

I think it's called backtracking.

@everyone else apart from Tippy - I don't get how, if you don't actually know something, you keep arguing on your assumptions.  I told you my invoices show that I pay less than $1 for sold listings under $9, I showed you the T&C's.  What more is there to say really?

I just went through all the Don't Forget to Sell This Weekend! emails I've received every weekend, going back to last August.  They are all exactly the same - WITH the same asterix and same T&C's.  Happy to email them to anyone who cares.
