bahahaha ... ya hypacrit
It would basically suck though if made redundant if a business failed and owed heaps of money, the workers would likely be the last to be paid out. It really is a new beginning or at least the end of something.

yeah it would suck in that situation.
but the OP is certainly exploring new, very creative ways forward

It ( large numbers of workers being made redundant) happens to often in the area I live in ( about 1.5 - 2 hours) south of Sydney.
The unemployment rate has always been high here, now with even more businesses closing down and 100's of staff affected, not much hope of being able to find a new job.
Online businesses are an option, but the more people that end up out of work and turn to online businesses the harder it will get to make a living that way as well.

It will be the same here soon when the Electrolux factory closes. That said, they have been given 2 years warning, which gives them plenty of time to find something else. Although, there's not much else around because the factory employs a lot of people. Sadly, a lot will have to leave town to find a new job.
There will be a few that don't plan ahead and the day they close the gate they will be screaming and crying that they are now unemployed. The media will get involved, showing the kids with sad faces, and no doubt mentions of law suits.
I love hearing stories of when people are dealt a bad blow and faced with redundancy, where they think outside the box and make positive changes with a completely new career. So many think their life is over because they can't get work in their regular field, yet others look at it as a chance to try something different and will do whatever it takes to get back on track.
I work in health and 10 years ago I was out of work, with no local vacancies at all. For the next 18 months I did everything from cleaning motels to making polystyrene balls! The motel jobs taught me that I never want to stay in a motel again, so it wasn't all bad 🙂

One of my redundancies was up there in terms of a very postive thing that ever happened to me in terms of my whole outlook on life... opened more doors to wealth, health and happiness than I could have ever imagined.
I do respect though it is not the same experience for everyone. But what the hey ... if its beyond your control, looking forward is going to get you further than looking back.

I think that it would be possible to sell readings if you sent the buyer a typed out (on paper) reading in the mail in a letter. That would be a tangible item.
