Put them into your Blocked Bidders List.

Because sellers don't open and close non payer disputes, issuing the buyer a strike for each one. Also because sellers don't have buyer requirement blocks in place to stop serial pests like that bidding on their items. Do you have blocks in place?

You can't name and shame on the forums, the mods will probably remove the name when they see it.

They are ALLOWED as a lot of sellers do not have the blocks in place to stop them and a lot of sellers do not issue non payer strikes to stop them from buying from the seller that have the non payer blocks in place.

One of the false positive feedbacks from "more than a year ago" said '50 negative reports in the last 300'. That's certainly one serial pest! It also shows how many sellers don't have blocks in place because that buyer has had over 2,000 transactions in the last 12 months.

I would now have to assume that the OP doesn't have blocks. That's fine, a lot of people don't know about them. Click on this link, http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

Set the non payment one to 2 in 12 months

Tick buyers in locations I don't post to

Set the policy violations to 4 in 6 months

Next 2 are optional.

Tick block buyers who haven't gone through phone verification and set it to a feedback score of less than 5 (that usually weeds out most scammers as they don't verify their account).

Apply above settings to current and future listings.

Tick the box to prevent blocked buyers from contacting you

Submit.

You can then see who has been blocked from buying by clicking on the Account tab in My Ebay, then select site preferences. Expand the buyer requirement section and at the bottom of that box is a link to Buyer Requirements Activity Log. That link is where you will see who hasn't been able to get past your blocks and can be a real eye opener when you see how many can appear there.

How do you know that? Would love a link to any statistics re the amount of sellers that open and close NPB disputes and the amount of strikes given.

In the absence of any proof will have to put your statement down to wishful thinking....or astroturfing guff

Your theory is based upon an assumption which is extremely flawed... tthe figures you quoted give absolutely no inkling

to how many of the sellers had their blocks in place..... at best it is wishful thinking that supports an extraneous

argument.

ie......Can you tell me how many of the sellers where the sale went well with this buiyer had their blocks in place.... If you can't do that then it is just as impossible to tell me how many of the sellers where the sale went bad had their blocks in place

So I love my sheep while we are on assumptions

1 how many strikes does the errant buyer have?

2 How many transactions did the buyer have "in the last 12 months" where no feedback was left by buyer or seller whether it was a good or bad transaction?

3 How many times was the buyer blocked from buying beacuse  sellers had their blocks in place

You have about  as much chance of telling me those figures as you have of telling me how many of my goats have jumped the fence last night and are standing on the road down the back right now..... I guess 24....goats

If the sellers he had bought from had blocks in place to block buyers with 2 or more UPI strikes, then that buyer wouldn't have been able to buy from all the sellers that left false positives saying they didn't pay. Equally, the buyer wouldn't have been able to buy from the sellers that they did pay because if they had blocks, he wouldn't have been able to buy in the first place. Most sellers don't leave false positives, so there are probably more unpaid issues than what is revealed in feedback.

It doesn't matter how many unpaid strikes he has. The number is irrelevant. Once he's got more than 2 in 6 or 12 months, he can't buy from anyone with blocks. Yet, even in the last 12 months where there are quite a few false positives, he was still able to conduct over 2,000 transactions. Which leads me to believe, all those sellers didn't have blocks in place. If they did, he wouldn't have been able to buy from them. No statistics needed, it's common sense.

Are they your goats in the photo? I nearly ended up with a kid last week. What breed are the ones with the brown on their heads? I hope you managed to get them all back in!
