I have just had a bad experience with a non payer who won several of my items and after 3 weeks of saying "I will pay next week" turned around to say they had changed their mind and no longer wanted the items. After reading feedback for this member I found that there were more negative posts than positives about this buyer!!! My question is why can't sellers leave negative feedback? If we had been able to leave negatives, instead of negative comments as a positive wouldn't ebay be able to do something about pest time wasting buyers like this sooner???

advanced search> by bidder, as high bidder and include completed listings, click on the end date to sort by date 3 pages of 200 less 10 listings on the third page
590 items won for the month
139 items received feedback for the month
451 items have not yet received feedback.
An amount of those items never will because the sellers have opened and closed the NPB dispute, not left feedback, trusted ebay to issue a NPB strike and moved on.
You would think a greater percentage of those sellers would already have their blocks in place (ie the rule followers)
....so how did the super duper bidder bid on their items in the first place????

Surely you don't have to go into each members profile who bids on you items???
If you could leave a neg you would still have to look at their profile to see. I don't even look at my buyers' feedback, and I generally only notice their feedback score when I'm leaving feedback for them. Admittedly, almost all my items are BIN.

I TOO HAVE BEEN PLAGUED BY A NON-PAYER. DON'T EBAY REALISE THAT WITHOUT SELLERS THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS? MY BUYER WAS EVEN ABLE TO MAKE THEIR FEEDBACK PRIVATE - GO FIGURE? SO SELLERS WHO THOUGHT THEY WOULD POST A POSITIVE FEEDBACK JUST TO BE ABLE TO ADD A NEGATIVE COMMENT CANNOT BE SEEN. I HAVE POSTED THIS PERSON'S DETAILS WHEREVER I CAN THINK OF. I DON'T CARE IF I'M STRUCK OFF EBAY - WHO WANTS TO TRADE WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN PROTECTING THE IDIOTS? PERHAPS IF MORE OF US SELLERS BANDED TOGETHER THEY MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE THIS REDICULOUS RULING???###

It amazes me that ebay don't restrict such buyers account.
But then again, ebay does not seem to enforce its own policies in relation to non-payers. .
It also amazes me that some posters continue to place the onus of the problem on sellers who don't block. Well thats small comfort to the seller who does have blocks in place and has strikes set to automatic X-(
But then again, some posters just do not appear to have the ability to walk in anothers shoes, and will never have a true idea of the money or time involved as they sell lower price items at low volume.

it amazes me that poster #12 has totally lost the plot and is naming and shaming IN AUCTIONS:O

Yup, non-payers can send you over the edge. Been proven on the boards now.

There is naming and shaming also in the serial non payers feedback, complete with name and address, also a LMFAO tacked on the end!! What the heck does that mean anyway? 😉
For those sellers that are blocking that buyers id, there is also named in the feedback another ID.

I TOO HAVE BEEN PLAGUED BY A NON-PAYER.
ONE non-payer and you call it a plague!!!! Talk about an over-the-top reaction.
I have had non-payers, but I have not let them define the type of seller I want to be by letting their non-payment turn me into a disgraceful eBayer who sets up non-listings for the express purpose of naming non-payers.
God help us if you ever get another non-payer, that would just about be the end of the world as we know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Settle, petal. A few points -
Don't shout, it's rude.
One non-payer is not a plague.
There are ways of handling non-payers; the site map is a mine of information (I thought Lyndel would have picked up on that one).
Blatantly ignoring eBay's policies will certainly go a long way toward you getting your wish.
Any member is able to set their feedback to private. For any of many reasons. As long as they don't want to sell.
Have I mentioned that the site map is a handy resource?
What the prudent seller does is open a dispute when they can or wish; close it after the requisite period; get their sale fees back; which gives the buyer a strike; the site map will direct you as to how to automatically block non-payers; and then you relist. Definitely a First World problem if one such plagues you.
