Using my iPad I cannot select non-fiction books to browse or even select a subject. I keep being sent to children’s books or nothing at all. Very frustrating.
eBay is in the process or reorganizing the books categories. Many of the smaller categories are being eliminated in favor of item-specific filters, apparently.
Try a general search using the old category name as your keywords, or else search nonfiction books. Then change the category to Books, and see what topic filters are available to narrow your search further:
