I want to speak to someone at ebay to try and resolve a problem I have with a Seller and refund.

What happened to being able to speak to someone and actually getting a result - even if it was difficult to understand that person and even for allowing for frustration in trying to understand or explain the problem.  At least you resolved the situation (mostly) with one phone call.

Now there is nothing except one link leading to another link, leading to another link and getting no where.

Where is the - alleged - service ebay?  Not good enogh.  Amazon is looking better and better.

Let's see if you even bother to reply to this email.  Time will tell right!!!

@fay3208,

You haven't sent an email.

You're not contacting eBay by posting on these boards. They are public forums on which any eBay member can post, and the responders are, like you, fellow eBay members who give voluntary helpful advice and information. (The standard of help is usually well above the type of cut-and-paste help provided by eBay customer service.)

If you need to speak to an eBay customer service rep to get specific help in a case where the automatic eBay Money Back Guarantee process is failing you, eBay's "Have us call you" option is by far the best way to get in touch with eBay. (Emails are useless, for a number of reasons, but primarily because the responses, when they are finally sent, are bot-generated. The chat facility is also not recommended unless your issue is very straightforward and can be answered by low-paid outsourced CS staff in the Philippines who read from pre-written scripts to the most common sorts of questions.)

eBay say: We'll call you at the phone number registered to your account, or you can enter a different number.

We’re available from 8am to 10pm AET, 7 days a week.

It's also possible that the responders on these boards could at least provide some insights into the best way for you to proceed. Bearing mind that these are public boards (so don't post private information such as your full name, email address, delivery address, name of the seller, etc.), you can still post the details of the problem. You can post the full title of the item with which you have problems; you can describe what steps you've taken; you can post how long ago the purchase was - and with that sort of information, fellow eBayers here with a lot of experience in navigating how to cope with issues on eBay may quite possibly be of great help in advising you.

Even if the advice is that you should contact eBay via the Have Us Call You link, at the very least the eBay members here can tell you what sort of information you should have ready, and what sort of things you should be saying when you contact eBay, or whether the timeframe for lodging an eBay dispute (under the eBay MBG) has run out, and if so, how best to proceed with a PayPal claim, etc.
