My computer crashes, but ONLY on ebay, DRIVER IRQL, NOT LESS OR EQUAL.is error message

I run AVG security software, Windows 10 on HP Prodesk computer.  The saystem is scanned on a daily basis and have no problems when running any of the other software on my system.

However if I am on ebay the blue screen of death will pop up anytime, sometimes immediately, others after 30minutes.  I have tried opening only ebay on my browser, I haved tried using Google Chrome, Windows Explorer, AVG Secure Browser all have the same result.

The error messageStop code DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL   What Failed ipeaklwf.sys

Any useful suggestions.

If you have an HP device,  check if you have HP Velocity installed. If it does, uninstall it. I was hesitant to do so as I did not want to uninstall software that came with my device until I found that HP actually recommends uninstalling it. We had the same issue in our office and fixed the crashes by uninstalling HP software that was preloaded on our HP laptops.

Go to Start > Settings > Apps 

Look for "HP Velocity"

Click on HP Velocity then click Uninstall.

Restart your computer after uninstalling HP Velocity.
