I am miffed as to why it takes certain sellers almost a week to actually post a won item after receiving a msg from eBay to say it has been 'SENT'. Sent does not mean posted and it is very misleading to a buyer. I experienced this very problem most recently and as a result, the item I won arrived a number of days beyond eBay's predicted delivery dates. Can anything be done to alleviate this situation? You must realize ebay sellers are often amateurs selling from home and have full time jobs.

Then not all sellers mark as sent immediately.

On top of that sellers are at the mercy of the AP postal system and often the dates given are estimates only.

If you are after an item in a hurry then select a seller offering Express Post.

Otherwise not much can be done to alleviate AP delays.
