is the return system retarded?

Hi,

So I bought an item that didn't work as described at all. I submitted a request for refund. Following the prompted process, I printed the return label and lodged the item back.

This postage label (and tracking number) was supplied VIA eBay, which means its system should theoretically know about it.

To this day, it still thinks I haven't sent the item back even though I've done it since the 10 Apr as the tracking number shows. I even got an automated email from them saying that I haven't lodged the item back.

The only button I could click on was "Print Return Label" - nothing else!! How the hell do I get eBay to know that I've sent it back? I assumed that it would have some sort of API with the tracking system to handle this information, but obviously not!

Now, double retard time. I tried to use the virtual agent to get an agent to call back regarding this item. Doing so makes eBay think that I'm asking them to "STEP IN" when all I really wanted to do was to clear things out so that they can update the system to confirm that I've sent the bloody item back, but now it's all a **bleep**ing mess and I'm freaking out because if eBay rules against me, not only do I lose the refund, but the seller gets the item back too ARGH HELP!!!

When checking the tracking on the AP site, does it show as delivered yet ?
