I had a car listed on ebay for auction. When the time came for the auction to end I was out, so watched it on my mobile. I do not have an app and was not signed in. I was therefore watching as anyone buying would see it. I searched my car and the search results auction time remaining was exactly 31 minutes longer than it should have been. I then tapped into the listing itself and the time was correct. (31 minutes less) I then cleared my browser and started again, thinking this was a glitch with my phone. I searched again and had the 31 minutes extra again. Tapped into the listing and had the correct time remaining (31 minutes less) again.
I had significany interest in the car, 1944 page views and 41 watchers. As you know people wait until the very end of the auction to put in there bids, as to not drive the price higher. With the search results screen showing 31 minutes extra, I have lost out on the opportunity to get the best price for the car. This is a very serious problem, considering the volume of auctions ebay holds.
Is there any reason for this issue? Perhaps ebay has been hacked again?
Please respond if you have answers for me . I have lost trust in ebay.
