eBay message prevents me from buying

Hi. Periodically a message appears when I'm about to make a purchase, bid or make an offer. It says "Almost there - for the next bit, we just need to know a bit more about you". You have no choice but to click "ok" but it doesn't say what you need to do or how to do it. I've lost items due to now being able to purchase because this message blocks the purchase. I have no idea what they want. When I have received them in the past I don't know how they disappeared but this time it's well over a week. Anyone able to shed an light please?
