no item , no refund.... 7 months waiting

have been waiting for an item for almost 7 months, seller keeps saying 'wait a few more days' etc . i have been very patient.

finally agreed to refund the money.... been waiting for that for weeks now too....seller keeps saying ' please dont worry, i check for you'....still no money

tried going through the ebay steps to lodge but the option they tell me to select , is simply not there. and only gives me options to select very recent items..i cant even find an email address or any way of contacting ebay directly. tried going through paypal but they just direct me back through ebay....not happy !

You've been scammed by a Chinese seller. After 7 months there is zero you can do. You won't get the item you bought and you won't get a refund. Nothing you can do will change it.

The Chinese are excellent at stringing you along until the time passes to get a refund. I just hope your item wasn't expensive.

In future, if the item hasn't arrived after the ETA date in the listing, open a dispute for item not received. Don't let any seller string you along, ever. If the item does eventually turn up after you've been refunded, you can always repay the seller.

Learn from this and don't let it happen again.

You only have 30 days since the last day of the estimated delivery to open a case on eBay and 180 days since the date of purchase to open a PayPal case (if you used PayPal).

You should never wait so long that you lose your right to open a case. Dodgy sellers know, and they will do their best to keep you waiting so that you cannot open a case any more, and then they will just ignore you when you can't do anything any more.
