postage triples when you click on an item ?

I am having an issue where international postage doubles and triples after I click on an item. I might click on an item if the postage is, lets say, $50 but I would pass right by if it is $100  or $150 to import. Some shipping is so expensive it can't be justified at all. I would like the cost of shipping and fees to remain the same if I click on an item or not, it is a a bit frustrating to really take a good look at an item and then notice the shipping has gone from reasonable to obscene in price

Were you looking at the items on the eBay website of that country?

When I look at international items on the Australian website, the postage is correct, but on international eBay websites the postage in the searches seem to be for those countries, and when I click on the listings it updates to postage to Australia.

Is the what the shipping price shown actually what the cost is to buyers in Australia, rather than the shipping cost within the seller’s own country?

What taxes are involved in this item?

What postage service is used?

Are you expected the seller to cover international fees and charges themselves?

Have you communicated to the seller?
