People work themselves up into such a state and then no questions, just aggresive rantings, swearing and cursing and accusation that the site is uselss, when it is so obviously not the site that is at fault

I am going to assume you are incorrectly logged into eBay.com so suggest you log out and go in to eBay.com.au

Why go to the site in the first place? it does not just randomly appear on your screen unless you go to it

You can 'get rid' of it by clearing your browser history

Hot tip, abusing other members ain't going to get rid of it

I've added Firefox addon "ebay item location  - my country only"  Blocks a lot of US items

Search engine useless anyway, keeps going to "default"

I see other uses say to use a different browser, I've used Firefox for years and  Edge search page is just full of **bleep** like Yahoo went

I think it's a PITA to learn different browsers
