How are your book sales going?

Is it just me or are sales really really slow atm? I used to sell lots of books all the time...now, even the bulk packs arent going like they used to.

I guess there is just not much money around at present.

How are your sales going? Do you think its slow atm?

WHAT A CONCEPT!

There are a few who no longer sell on ebay. A shame.

It must be something about the new financial year because all of a sudden my bulk book packs are selling. I have sold a few just this week now.

In a way its a shame as I am not getting full value for the books but in another its good to clear the shelves.

I would love to close my shop by the end of the year. Never asked to be a powerseller either. I sell as a hobby only so I think it gives people the wrong impression, like I am a business or something. I do it because since getting sick I would go mad if I didnt have some kind of work or project to do as I cant go out to work anymore and I miss it.

WELL I am not doing too bad. FIve books in two days and a a bulk pack.

My bulk packs are going faster now.

Once my shelves are cleared I dont know if I want to continue doing them. They are kind of fun.

I was just given another bag of books last night by my sister.

Books could have been used for currency. Just think of it.. a bag of potatoes for a bag of books. 🙂

No bookwork would ever starve 🙂

Well its a long story. I have spent a lot of time in hospital and I nearly died. I am coming along well....but...

I dont want to have a store too much longer. I want to relax more. I am not a business, I do this as a hobby.

And its a lot of money to keep listing books no one wants to pay full price for. So I make it more attractive by making them a bargain.

Also, we want to move into a cheaper place when our lease is up. I wont be able to do much of the packing. So I am thinking of all the poor people who shall be helping me. I want to clear my shelves.

I dont know what got into me today.

I wasnt happy with some of my book packs so I have done them over, with new photos and all.

I am so sick of all the "guys" type of books hanging around I have made huge packs up. It took me most of the day to ferret them out, redo them, re photo them....

I have had it.

Sales are slowly getting better now.

Whatever it takes to move them, do it.

We were selling the things for $1ea or fill a bag for $5.

Takes a long time to make a $100, but it is nice to see them gone.

I'm trying to get the things out of ciculation as they come in the door rather than stock piling them for no apparent reason

Those are two good ideas. I wish ebay would let us put a listing up where you type up a list and they choose a certain number of books but its not allowed for some reason....probably because of reduced listing fees for them.

My first 5 kg pack sold within 24 hours and then another pack of books went and my dvd packs are selling too.

I am not doing too badly at the moment. My shelves are clearing fast and its a great feeling.

I am thinking I may be able to close my shop a lot sooner than I initally thought. You never know 🙂
