Who is ebaying today?

I thought I'd get this thread up again.:-)

I've had enough excitement here for one day and am off to find my zzz's.

Good thing the weekend is coming up so we can play with all this new stuff.

Thanks Dorro - they actually have a brand name and I am sure that Kelly used it in her description as a key search word - the books appeal to collectors of that type of doll.

I think they're called Pedigree dolls, tangles. Do an image search on that term and see if they match the dolls in the books

I had those books when I was a little girl.

Have read all your comments about my listing.
Firstly you should all read the FULL listing.
I am NOT a guy
$600-$700 per market, NOT per week.
I made $860 yesterday, and $730 today, CASH !!
DID YOU ????
PLUS $700-800 per week on ebay.
Yes, it's full time. That's what you do when you run a business.
Ordinary Paperbacks, what is that you all think you sell on ebay, special ones ???
Mostly I just think it's really quite rude of you all to comment on something and someone you know nothing about.
If you think it is highly priced, so be it, I am not asking you to buy it. I am also not asking you to stand out in the rain/sun etc, that's my choice. However, I would have thought some positive comments would not go astray. Like encouraging someone who is prepared to work hard at running a business, as you all probably do also. Pity I don't live in Sydney, have had quite a few emails from there prepared to purchase it if they had lived in Melbourne. So obviously not too highly priced. AND a good alternative to what's happening on ebay at the moment.
I think you are all probably pretty nice down to earth people, just found it a little sad that you felt the need to make negative comments about someone who is trying her best to make a living. I don't have a husband/partner, must support myself all the way. Don't receive any money from the Government either.
So perhaps just give it a little thought before making what might turn out to be hurtful comments about someone. You are not the only ones that use or read the community boards.

Hi pinkslippers, the comment made by me was not meant to offend, it was just casual talk between people in a similar business who know the price of books.

My comment - I saw that listing the other day, very overpriced considering the work you have to put in and market early morning starts - was simply my view, nothing else. At roughly $2.50 outlay per book, plus tables/goodwill, it seems a bit overpriced considering I see at least 5-10 book tables at every market I go to. I have friends who run market stalls, hence the comment afterwards about the revolving markets we do here. It is a hard slog.

Best of luck with the sale of your business.

Pinkslippers I initially posted because having done markets in the past and considering doing them again I was actually INTERESTED in your listing. Not a buyer but as a fellow book seller.
The conversation that sprang from that reminded me of all the reasons why I donโ€™t do the markets any more.
Yes it is hard work.
Yes the early mornings are horrible.
Yes there is sun/wind/rain to deal with.
But on the other hand I miss the interaction with the customers. Thatโ€™s something I donโ€™t have selling here instead.

My comment was not meant to offend you.

Tangles, they are Pedigree dolls and I listed the books in the Dolls category and they sold BIN for $25. Good luck!

But I can see how they might appeal to little girls.

Dorro, the little girls they appealed to are now all grown up! My mum has a room full of them (which I also find a little creepy!)
