Can't checkout with Paypal, after entering details in the pop-up box circle just keeps going round

Checkout will not let me use Paypal.  After entering my details in the PayPal pop-up box, the circle keeps going around like it is in an endless programming loop.  Tried on 2 machines after clearing cache of browsers.. still the same problem.  I notice that this has happened before according to the Community Board Tech Issues.  What was the solution?

The same problem we had on Thursday (using Chrome).

As a last resort we tried changing browsers, and it worked with Microsoft Edge.

Haven't bought anything else yet, so don't know if it was a one off, or will become a regular occurrence.
