Cannot pay by credit card as it keeps asking for security code and won't accept it.

My ebay account no longer accepts PayPal. So I created a new account. You can no longer put PayPal as an option on new accounts, and you have to use a credit card. I can't buy with my new account, or my old account, as it keeps asking me to put my card's security code in, even though I've given it a dozen times. It doesn't let you click on the option where you can put your security code. So how does one buy anything? Is there another website that's better than ebay? I would really like to know, as there seems to be no solution to this. (And no, it's not the bank's fault, or my card's fault.)

Not heard of that one before, for buyers

Buyers are suppose to be able to use PayPal to buy items until 2023

I have exactly the same problem with my credit card security code.

I have re-entered the card details 3 times so far.

I have communicated with eBay by email and telephone and WEB chat and the people I talk to DON'T HAVE A CLUE on how to fix the problem, so my account has been suspended.

eBay are the cause of the problem, yet they make me suffer by causing me to spend hours; over 14 days; to try to get a solution, but won't or don't know how to help me.

Customer communication is dreadful, if no non existent and amazingly when I log into the "One-time payment link" I get told I don't owe eBay any money at all.  Go figure!

As Sandy said, buyers should be able to use PayPal until 2023. Maybe there is a problem with your PayPal account rather than eBay not accepting PayPal? Or maybe you are trying to buy from a seller who does not accept PayPal, for example a seller overseas?
