Internal Error SD026. Photos not uploaded at all or too slow. Can't complete listings. Help needed

I have not been able to upload photos to my listings for two days as either Internal Error(SD026) occurs or it is just too slow to complete the uploading. (please see the image below)

The below photo shows what actually happens when I attempt to upload photos to ebay listing.

I did some googling and found out that it has happened to other people before.  There were some threads and posts with the same problem, but non had any solution to this problem.

So far, this is what I understand of my situation now.

1. Can upload photos to Facebook or Googld drive without a problem.

2. The problem occurs in Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge

3. The problem occurs for Notebook (Windows 10, Windows 7), iOS devices (iPhone 6s - iOS 10) and Macbook

4. 1 out of 30 attempts, maybe it will upload a photo after waiting 5 ~ 10 mintues

5. eBay said the problem should be happening on my end, as they can upload photos without a problem. So I assume it has nothing to do with my eBay account

6. Tried 6mb, 3mb, 1mb, below 1mb size photos, but the result is the same.

Hoping someone has found a solution to this problem.

Cheers.

Ed

I've also tried Mozilla, IE and Chrome. Same issue. Tried using my other spare PC, same issue. Tried from from my Ipad as well.

So don't waste your time trying other browsers or devices. It's seems to be an ebay system issue.

But not a blanket one. it seems to be only affecting a (small?) proportion of users.

I use Win7 with Firefox and Chrome and Telstra. I have no issues with slow page loads, nor being charged for free listings, nor uploading pictures.

Whilst it is obviously a problem, it seems to be a problem with specific OS/browsers/ISPs rather than a total eBay fail. I'm not excusing eBay, given their penchant for fixing things that aren't broken and prioritising cosmetics over practicality, but I suspect it might have to do with their imposition of the seller hub (which was obviously the result of some 20 year old 'genius' dreaming it up over a cup of decaf soy latte)

Yes, it doesn't appear to effect everyone.

I'm in Melbourne and my mate in Qld has no problem at all.

So it may even be some kind of local server issue. Who knows....

But personal it's been giving me brain damage for almost 3 days.

Step away from the computer....... Lol.

A report was made (on another thread on this board) that it might be Optus cable. Apparently it can't get through eBay's firewall.

It would explain a lot if the issues are with Optus customers.

It would then definitely be at least 50% eBay's problem. After all, Optus is not exactly a small player in the Australian internet market.

Just saw this on eBay seller's page on Facebook:

"Hi all, not sure if some of you are still having issues with eBay revising, uploading pics and listings. Here's my update for those who are. I'm on optus cable, ebay is the only site I can't do the above. I've changed modems and contacted optus who advised there is an eBay firewall causing the issues. I went to the neighbours place who are with telstra and all worked fine. I've just made my 6th call to eBay to tear the supervisor a new one. There was an update done on Friday that has caused these issues. I politely advised that maybe they need to undo the update until they sort it. Billion dollar company and they can't get their **bleep** sorted."

Apart from the pic uploading issue which seems more widespread, are other who are experiencing very slow/lagging/dropouts when listing, modifying listings etc aslo Optus Cable customers ??

That goes a hell of a long way to explaining the issue. Thanks for that mate.

I'm on Optus Wireless.

I think you've you've nutted it out.  i can't agree with the other guy more. I mean exactly right. Roll back the update **bleep**.

It certainly wasn't a coincendence that it happened at the same day.

I totally agree too, it was probably the idea of some knuckle head over a cup of decaffe soya latte, with a twist of lemon in a large cup, extra hot. And a pretty flower decoration on the top.......

Meanwhile the rest of us who are trying to make a living all get frustrated and get extra anxiety for no real good reason.

I tried the latest seller hub and honestly preferred the previous version. So i rolled it back. I still wonder whether not, using the latest seller hub has caused my problems. But i can't see how.

I have the same problem.  I was initially told that I was 'confused'.  Two days ago eBay finally admitted that it is a problem on their end.  So far, 5 days and ticking......I've found that I can take photos with ipad and upload them successfully.  So I've been creating a draft on laptop and then completing it with photos on ipad.  It's a temporary solution until eBay fix their tech problem.
