Jumbo, of course.:^O

Hey shelly! I had a problem only this week, Im after a J Crew necklace and there were 2 exactly the same on E-Bay, one seller wanted $15.95 international post, and the other wanted $28.99 US. When I asked if the higher one would match the lower post price, he said postage was not determined by him, he simply put his item details in, and the E Bay site selected the postage required and it included registering and insurance of the parcel. Personally I think its crock! If one person can ship an item for a certain price, the next person should be able to ship the same item for the same price. Look out for anything from the US, there post is totally unreasonable. I collect animation cels, which are just posted in an envelope (business size),
the US charge $40 plus, and the UK only charge $7.99 AUD.

don't some of you realise that there is no ebay mandatory law that you have to post on every thread.
No, really? Well I never and I have been trying to comply for such a long time, now I won't feel so bad having the odd half hour off :^O

No it isn't a crock, the first seller may have posted by a service that did not have seller protection, they may have used less packaging and they may have had a far smaller stockroom so it took them less time to find and package the item. The second seller nay have been using a tracked and insured delivery service, have use more expensive packaging materials and may have had a far higher number of stock items and so spent more time on packaging and handling.

The OP was over THREE years ago, so what was considered excessive then is probably a bargain now.
Which is the major trap in reviving dead parrot threads - the complaint AND most of the responses have been overtaken by time. AND the OP is guaranteed to not give a rat's this far down the track.

Thanks for your contribution "deja_vu_items" - of immense value. (it's not 3 1/2 years old at all, the last post was earlier today, or can't you read dates??)
It's as relevant as the most recent post!!! (besides, it can't be totally irrelevant or you wouldn't have replied)
ps - why do ebay impose maximum postage amounts? In my case (above) I could have (theoretically) been selling an elephant. Just because I choose to sell it cheaply doesn't mean the postage cost would be less.
It seems you're as out of date as this thread. eBay stopped imposing maximum postage limits about a year ago.
Which is probably when you last listed something new, or you would know that.

For books, magazines etc, but not for CDs and DVDs - calculated postage (as always) gets around it, but the cap is still in place.

Thread is 3 and a lot years old. I doubt nudder is up to the current costs.

Your post is less than 2 hours old, so it would seem neither are you. ๐

You could posit that.
Maybe we could get Tom to do a book. Me and nudder put up $100 each, winner takes all, less 10% to Tom. nudder loses $100, I make $90. Seems a fair bet to me.
