Yeah you are right , what was I thinking wasting my time talking to people like you on a cold lonely forum who only have negative things to say .
Yep that's me done ... I'm out of here

If someone comes here looking for answers then it is not their fault if a search turns up a thread 3 years old.
Blame ebay for allowing such old threads to be relevant in any search.

Sterlingshowcase, don't be disheartened.
Even if some find it "annoying" that old threads are posted on, you're well within your rights to do so.
(You have some AMAZING stuff by the way!)

Yes after being off the forum for 5 years I was disappointed to coming back to a wall of negative people going on about an older thread , but after yours and '' i-once-was-bump '' great replies I don't feel disheartened anymore . Thanks for your nice comments . Sterling

The problem with old threads is that much of the information is out of date, ie in the original post from 2010 the complaint was about something being posted for eight bucks, that may have seemed a lot then but would be a good price for anything going as a parcel and not a letter.
If a member doesn't notice the date or doesn't read the entire thread they may base their actions on the information provided early on.

I post " Dead Thread " on extinct threads to warn people and I don't personally attack new posters. This thread is a prime example at nearly 3 1/2 years old.
A revived thread doesn't always come back to life with many new posts. Sometimes a few new posts are added with complaints about it being declared dead. They can be matched with complaints about it being revived. Don't hold your breath waiting for the original participants to return.

Why not point out the age of the thread politely?
Large red all caps is not polite.

The large red caps are obviously meant to catch people's attention. Some people post regardless. If I say; " This thread is dead and finished with - please don't post. " people like yourself still post irrelevant comments.

No such thing as over priced postage. A bid on the auction means you agree with the postage, no bid means you don't!
