So I recently sold an item on eBay and was a bit worried about scams, well I should of been more concerned about eBay themselves ripping me off !!!
Ebay offered $25 for each $100 sold up to the value of $75. I sold. A $510 item so expected my $75 voucher by 11th july
No voucher !!!
first they could find the offer ( which I then sent them a copy of)
ohhhhh marketing are having a problem 10-21 business days to resolve
then ohhhhh it's PayPal fault
i reminded them it had nothing to do with PayPal,can I talk to a supervisor ? Oh no they are all busy !!
ebay has turned out to be the biggest fraud I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with !!

You are certainly not the first or the only seller having problems with that promotion.
On the current advice from ebay you will get your voucher....eventually!!!
Just don't hold your breath.
There was a similar problem with a buyer voucher at the same time....many of us did not get them and when we rang ebay we had to end up notifying them when we had spent the money with the promise of receiving the value of the voucher into our paypal account in 15-21 days. I am still waiting.

you are not alone. I started a thread about this very same sell2buy promotion some weeks back.
I was told in an eBay message that I should go ahead and buy $75+ worth of items and then let them know the item numbers to receive a $75 PayPal credit. I did buy and pay for some items, let eBay know the item numbers, and they turn around and tell me that in 15-21 days I will receive my $75 PayPal credit. That was on the 27th July.
It has now been 16 days and I will be contacting eBay in 5 days time if the credit has not arrived.
So much for the voucher arriving on the 11th July!!!!!!

yes they promised me that I was going to get the money so I purchased the item and THEN I was told 7 to 21 days and as it turned out it was 35 days. Had I have known at the time I would not have purchased because I stretched my limit in the 1st place to buy.

a correction > the message I received stated 15-21 business days and it has only been 12 business.
I am not holding out hope that I will get the credit by the 21st business day (25th August).
If a seller treated a buyer the way eBay have treated sellers in this promotion they would be defected out of existence.

okay, just for fun, if the sell2buy promotion was an eBay transaction for which feedback could be left . . . . . then this is what my feedback and DSRs would look like:

It is not only the sellers who are the victims of ebay's incompetence Sir.
I am still waiting for my $50 voucher to be credited to my paypal account after I initially spent the $200 to qualify for it and have spent another $250 to use it....and now have to wait till the end of next week at the earliest for the credit to appear.
I am rather annoyed to put it mildly as something has cropped up that I want to buy but have not got enough funds without that $50...I hope it is not snapped up before I get my voucher.
