Browsing eBay - redirected to "survey"

G'day,

Over the past 3 or so weeks a number of times whilst browsing eBay, I've suddenly been redirected to other sites that are obviously phishing sites.

eg "iiNet survey - win $$$", and "Google membership rewards

I have scanned my computer several times for viruses, deleted cookies, checked extensions etc etc in my browser (Firefox) - no sign of anything malicious - the only commonality is it always happens whilst on eBay...

Is this being authorised by eBay?

If you're using Firefox activate the "adblock plus" tool and those ads should not appear anymore. (Go to the 3 bars on the RHS top, click on it then click on "add ons" and "adblock plus)

"Does eBay allow it" ? Yes, or it wouldn't be on their page, I suspect.

Thanks for the prompt reply.  I've added the adblock plus... Will see how it goes.

It should solve your problem, if you happen to use other browsers apart from Firefox "adblock plus" can be downloaded and added to those browsers as well.

Edit. with adblock plus enabled it will also speed up your browser as well.
