Buyer opens dispute almost 2 months to the day after purchase..

Two days shy of two whole months since purchasing from me, the buyer opens a dispute saying the item was not as described. All information on the Samsung Soundbar was taken straight from the website which matched up 100% with the model number etc on the box.  So unless it was damaged or broken in transit, how can it be 'not as described'? And if it was damaged or broken, wouldn't you think she would have let me know before now?

It was a brand new sound bar for an outdoor TV which we decided not to use.

As the dispute does not say exactly what the problem was, how can I challenge her dispute? Sadly after so long, all photos are deleted!

Help please!

Re: Buyer opens dispute almost 2 months to the day after purchase..

I had this happen to me a few months ago - 5+ months after the buyer purchased!

What I did was to get onto Chat with the reps during their operating hours and explained that the purchase was more than 30 days past the time for the buyer to claim the Money Back Guarantee and that they should not have been able to open a case at all.

Got the dispute closed in my favour in less than 10 minutes.

Just double check the date the item was DELIVERED as the buyer only has 30 days after that.

If there are any issues, tell the rep that they are not backing up their claim with any evidence either and this seems to be either a scam or buyers remorse.

For an INAD dispute, the buyer has to say what is wrong and provide photos/evidence, so I don't think she can win by just saying the item is not as described. Just imagine how many scammers would do that if this was the case.

Was it this listing? Samsung The Terrace HW-LST70T 3.0 Channel Bluetooth All-in-One Soundbar - Black  | eBay

It is actually almost 3 months... Did she open a PayPal dispute? It seems to be too late for eBay I think?

Is it a dispute or a return request?

I didn't even know it was possible at all to start a dispute 30 days after the last day of the estimated delivery - or is the buyer overseas? When I look at my own purchases around that time, there is no link to open a dispute any more?

Return requests overlap a bit with INAD, but I don't think they are limited to the 30 days after the estimated delivery.
