Has ebay ever responded to the complaints about listings with huge price ranges?

I'm talking about listings like this one which has a range of $30 to $95 (carbonating bottles and gas cylinders are not variants of Soda Stream), or this one which has a range of $3.66 to $16.74 (a charging cable is not a different model of a car charger). Why is this an allowed listing practice? It seems like it should qualify as "Search and browse manipulation" (since it means products out of a price range show up anyway or, when sorted by price, show up at a lower price than they actually are) but it's so widespread that reporting every one of them wouldn't just be a full-time job, it would be an industry in and of itself. This practice makes ebay my last choice when looking for things because of how frustrating it is to come across something you think is cheaper than the rest, only to find that it's just an accessory that's less expensive than the main product.

Also, does anyone know of a browser extension that will remove these listings from search results?

The only thing I can suggest is: search by 'dearest first'....then all the carp should be at the bottom 😞

The second seller is in China. Chinese sellers can mis-use the listings with variations feature with impunity. eBay.cn will not take action against those sellers, and eBay..com.au doesn't have the authority to take action against those sellers.

The first seller is registered in Australia; you can certainly report the seller.
