How do you know that your purchasers a EBay Plus member !!?

Today I received a Message concerning a item was express Post . My listings are Australian standard shipping rate . The purchaser was upset with me due to having it sold With a standard method .
This is my first Purchase from a EBay plus member . I was not aware that they even were a EBay plus member until they contacted me through message. I am writing here now because how I’m I to know to send a parcel express if my listings are all at a standard rate .
There is no notifications at all to give some information to who is actually purchasing. I think EBay needs to work for the seller as well. Missed communication. This purchaser was upset needing my explanation .
From what I just experienced today is I will have to add extra costs to my items to cover this feature and change standards to all express rate .

If you don't have an express postage option, then you aren't opted into eBay Plus.

The buyer has assumed all items are covered by eBay Plus. The buyer is wrong.

I would tell them that as you don't offer express postage your items aren't part of eBay Plus and that means that anything they purchase from you isn't part of Plus and not eligible for free express upgrades.

You could probably also mention that Australia Post aren't guaranteeing express delivery times, so express is not necessarily any quicker at the moment.

Thank you for posting this.

Now we are all aware of what some buyers are thinking.

Like you, all of my items are sent standard post.

I would expect a buyer to either request express post (and pay the extra cost) or at least double check with the seller regarding the postage.

Good luck with the buyer.
