Are other members having to tell potential buyers that they are NOT allowed to inspect items before purchase??

We are losing potential sales because of this.

eBay have brought in a blanket rule that no contact details can be exchanged before a commitment to buy is made, this is because of their paranoia with off-eBay selling.

Most, if not all, members see this as a retrograde step that's more likely to lose them selling fees rather than gain them for pick-up items.

If you or your buyer try to exchange contact details both of you will more than likely be hit with a 7 day restriction on messaging anyone through eBay.

Just not messaging personal details.

Many ways around it.

Just make sure if a buyer wants to buy when they inspect, they log into eBay and click BIN.
