Is communication now blocked between seller and buyer?

Is the communication between seller and buyer now completely blocked by eBay, contrary to what they tell us in their message ("... we want it to be as open as possible...")?

Have you tried to send your "buyer" your phone number or email or have they tried to do the same thing before they've committed to buy an item ?  If so then eBay has probably seen it as you attempting to sell "off eBay" and have stopped you and the buyer from sending any messages to anyone for at least 7 days.

I appreciate that, but if eBay thinks either you OR the buyer were trying to do that by sending contact details to each other then they will put a ban on all communication by BOTH of you, usually that is for 7 days for a first offence so you should now (or soon) be able to send messages again.
