Out of stock -repercussion?

I sold an item,paid for, without realising I was out of stock in that size.I enquired to customer without any reply so refunded. Will I get bad feedback from eBay?

You don't get feedback from eBay.

But you will get a defect on your account.

One defect won't affect your selling abilities.

Yes, kop is right - it is just a defect. Ebay cannot give you bad feedback, but I think the buyer can if he or she is angry. I often see negative fb saying that the item was out of stock and the transaction had been cancelled, so it is possible, but there are also buyers who understand, so let's hope your buyer is one of these.

It happens,

But don't relist the missing sizer immediately because that's when the person may get grumpy and leave you bad feedback.  Or better still when you do get one, PM them first and offer to them.
