Do you ever look at your paypal receipts? It always tells you what name will appear on your bank statement. It does not necessarily have to be the same as their ebay name as some sellers use payal with other businesses as well as ebay.
I have this problem atm. I called up and opened a dispute about a double withdrawal. On my bank statement the transaction has been removed but the funds haven't reappeared. My bank is so stupid they're scratching their heads over it too.
Is it actually a paypal or Ebay transaction, are you sure you didnt spend the money elsewhere. Do a google search on the name, you will be suprised at some of the names that will appear for a shop by a totally different name.
