I have received items that I gather were purchased off eBay by someone else. It is addressed to me and has my contact number on it, but I didn't purchase the items. It has been addressed to me by mistake. Seller has a name and return address on the parcel, but no contact number. I am unsure what to do. Nothing in the eBay "Help Centre" answers my query. my only thought is to seal up the parcel and put 'Return to Sender". Thoughts? Thanks, Phoenix

If you are certain it is not a brushing scam, have you tried contacting the seller through eBay messages?
Are you waiting for an eBay purchase of your own that is due to arrive around now?
Was it this seller?

If you don't know who the seller is, and your answer is NO to all of Sandy's questions, do any of your recent
sellers sell the type of items you've received ? As they'll have your contact details.

as it has a return address, you could take it to the post office and "return to Sender".

Strike through your details and write on the article "RTS Unsolicited Mail" then pop it in a red mailing box - or drop it off at a Post Office if it's too large for the red box.
The item will be sorted to the SPDO or contractor (depending on item size) who operates the beat which includes your address. He/she will mark it up as a return and ship it back to the sender.
