I recently started a return case about a pair of sneakers where the Nike tongue label was defective on both shoes, and the laces were detached from the shoe on arrival. they have now told me that they are putting the case on hold until the 12th so they can see the items condition and inspect it, but i don't even have a shipping code or way to send it to them, nor has the item been sent back. what do i do?

Assume you started an Item Not as Described case?
Ebay has an authentication guarantee - the seller is supposed to send the sneakers to the authentication centre - after which they will be posted to you from there.
This does not sound like it has happened.
Can you give us the item number?

Sure, the item number is 334800372594. Also the case was a โdoesnโt work or defectiveโ.

OK, had a look at the listing. Title says "authenticated by Ebay", but that's not how it works. As mentioned, the seller has to send it in for authentication and they send it on to you. IF it passes it should have arrived with an specific Ebay authentication tag (pic attached).
Might be worth getting on Chat and explaining that it was not sent for authentication as required.

Oh no sorry, it was authenticated it came with the tag. Iโm just not sure what to do about the case closed thing and I am confused how they are going to inspect the shoes despite not having them currently. They havenโt provided me with a shipping label either

I think ebay are waiting until after the Easter break to look at their view of the sneakers when they inspected them.
Also I think the ebay authentication is just that - authenticity - and not necessarily condition.
They leave it up to you to open a case for Not as Described.
Also, Jelly, what is that pic? That's not what the OP bought.

I think maybe it was just a photo as an example of what the 'tag' should be
And totally agree about the authenticity rather than if they are in the condition they ought to be
They can be 100% real and still ready for the garbage dump

I'm not sure why you say the laces were detached? They're shoelaces so surely they would be manually added to the shoes in whatever configuration you wanted? You can even see in the pictures that there are no laces. Unless there's something special I don't know about these shoes??
As for the tongue label/s - perhaps you can elaborate what you mean by "defective". Can you put up a picture of what they're supposed to look like, compared to what yours looks like?
@stawks - that was just to show the OP what he should have gotten from the AC - prior to him saying that they were authenticated, which should have been clarified in his first post.

Yeah, sorry Jelly, I should have enlarged the pic, and then I would have seen the tag.

Iโm not referring to the shoelaces attached to the shoe, Iโm referring to the red laces that come with the shoe that snapped off the plastic ring tag. I should probably start being clearer sorry
