Below is an email doing the rounds from scammers concerning eBay account holders, I have tried reporting it to eBay themselves but to no avail. Please be careful.
We have blocked a suspicious Payment of $499.00 to Avast Plus :-
Dear Customer,
Your account have been charged for $449 for the payment for AVAST Security, We've reason to believe your eBay account has been fraudulently used therefore we have p< /b>ut this payment on hold.
Next we're sending you this email to confirm the transaction, in case you have done the transaction you need not do anything and the charge will appear on your account over the next 48 to 72 hours,
if you haven't done the transaction please contact us immediately on the EBAY Customer Service :- :-.
Transaction Date : Tue, 13 Sep 2022 Invoice Number

Ebay literally has no access to the scammers and it is not their responsibility to track them down , so what do you expect them to do? Ebay can only make people aware that there are scams going around in their name and that's about it.

I’ve asked a moderator to remove the fake eBay phone number information in your post.
I know you have the best of intentions, but some people will not read your post properly and will think that’s a real phone number for eBay cyber security.
Scam emails are always doing the rounds. Just forward them to eBay.

I just wanted to say the same. Ebay always addresses members by their first name, even in the subject of spam emails.
