Buyer has received item as the tracking number has confirmed this with aus post 6 days ago. The buyer has not confirmed package received to eBay and my funds have not been released. I reported the buyer but I would like to know how I can further take action in this regard.

A buyer doesnt have to report to Ebay that they have received a parcel. Not sure why you are reporting them tyo Ebay. They have done nothing wrong.
You are a new seller so will have a 30 day hold on your funds.

Actually eBay is saying they do need to confirm it has been received.

If you are trying to get paid early, you need proof of delivery (tracking) and for the buyer to have left + feedback, before ebay will even consider it. Feedback is voluntary, so the buyer does not have to provide you or ebay with anything

Why report the buyer?
ebay did not tell you to and nor do you get to take action
You agreed to the hold on your funds, usually 30 days when you listed
Reporting the buyer because you do not know selling basics is not going to get your funds released early
The buyer might leave neg feedback if they feel so inclined, which will mean longer holds and possible restrictions . Most buyers do not bother leaving any feed back. None is better than a neg

Did you actually upload the tracking number into Ebay, thats your job, not the buyers

How? There is no option to confirm receipt except for leaving feedback.
Either way, you are subject to holds, as already advised
