Hello, a buyer received an item and it was damaged. I will give him a refund, but he won't pay for the return postage. He wants me to send him a shipping label so that he can return the item. How do I send him a shipping label

I haven't had to do it, but this should work.
Generate a label from the item you sold. That way the label will be linked to the item. Change the sender's address to theirs and the recipient's to yours. Generate the label, download it (it will be a PDF), email it to the buyer. They then need to print it out and affix it to an EBAY AP SATCHEL and post it over the counter. You will be billed for the postage in your next monthly invoice.

Or just mail them a self addressed satchel if it will fit in one.

Extra postage that way. The OP will already be out 2 lots of postage; why add a 3rd lot unless absolutely necessary.
