It's a known glitch, it usually reverts to zero after you've opened it.

no it doesnt go back to zero after opening an i have tried signing out an back in again nothing seems to get rid of the 1 beside my cart...

It's one of those glitches that's there after you've used it for purchases.
It can go on for days or stop the next time you click on it,(it's their feeble attempt to con you into using it to
buy more items).
