I was chasing up an item I'd purchased about a fortnight ago to see where it was, and what a stuff up I seem to have discovered.
Went looking for the description of the transaction, no description. Have a copy of it that I downloaded when the purchase was made.
Entered the transaction number, no listing. At that point all help ceased, as there is simply nowhere else to go.
Got in touch with paypal, entered their transaction number for the payment, all good. So I cancelled the transaction & got a refund of sorts.
Question; if I have all the transaction details from ebay, why can I not get any help from ebay ?

I have no idea
eBay is all about the buyer
Did you buy on this account or as a guest?
Have you changed the time period in the drop down menu under your purchase history?
What was the estimated delivery date shown when you purchased?
Did you get tracking?
Try communicating with the seller?
Where were they registered and what was their feedback like?
Hardly matters now, if you went to PayPal instead, and was refunded since you can't now go back to eBay
You have no feedback as recent as two weeks ago, are you certain you did not buy as a guest?

Did you sign in from a social media platform ?
If so you probably bought as a guest. Use the link below to find the purchase.

Sorry But dont blame Ebay for you not knowing what you are doing.
I notice you have feedback as buyer in the past month is that the item?
Please don't blame everything on you not following processes.

Dang, it hadn't updated when I looked (OP had 17 feedback, nothing 'recent')
Wonder if the item was coming from China where the seller is?

" got a refund of sorts"
When the item is delivered to you, which I'm sure it will be if it's the seller from China who has good feedback, be sure to REPAY the seller if you're happy with the item.

You say it was only a fortnight ago, so it most likely hadn't even gotten to the EDD as yet, so why would Ebay help. I'm surprised Paypal gave you a refund so early in the process.

Sometimes paypal gives a refund on the spot, automatically, without giving the seller any time to reply.
I had that happen for my sister in law earlier this year. Have to say, I was surprised too.
I suspect it happens for buyers who have used paypal for years but who have never made a claim.

Are you absolutely sure there is no record of the sale in the 'My ebay' section of your account?
I have personally never known of any purchase of mine that has NOT been viewable there. It makes me wonder if you actually did buy on another account. That would explain it.
There is recent feedback for you from a seller. Is that the person you bought from? Seems to be a lot of car parts, that sort of thing.
If you purchased a fortnight ago, then I'd say the item probably should be with you by now as I looked at several ads and they were all promising delivery within 1-4 days. It was a seller located in China but from the delivery dates, I'd say they have a warehouse in Sydney.
What was the expected delivery date range on the item you purchased? If you are ina rural area, then you may have been facing a longer wait.
You can always get help from ebay.
There's a blue tab at the top of most pages, says ebay help. Keep following that till it gives you the option to chat/ask for a call back.
If you have already been refunded by paypal though, you cannot open an ebay claim for the same thing.
