Damaged item

The item I purchased arrived damaged - If the seller offers a refund for return of item who actually pays postage costs?

If I return the item at my cost, it would mean I'd lose out on two lots of postage.

Does anybody know the correct procedure please?

If you were to go through a PayPal case you would be required to return at your cost but you would get a refund of item plus initial postage cost.

That way each member loses one postage cost.

Having said that, if you send pics of the damage the seller may refund without the need to return the item.

Good sellers would refund all costs if it's due to insufficient packaging which it is in most cases of damaged goods in transit.
