So many sellers listing themselves as Australian sellers and the items are in Australia but they are not they send you a tracking number and then it is a couple of weeks before Australia post even receive it but with Genuine Australian sellers Australia post receive the item within a day or two, then some sellers are sending it through some other carrier and the item is delivered by people in private sedan cars and if you are not home they just leave it where it can be easily stolen then you have to go through a pain in the **bleep** process with eBay or Paypal.
THEN THERE IS THE RYOBI & OZITO SCAM There are a lot of sellers advertising these Bunnings exclusive products as new products but at a much higher price than at Bunnings plus postage. What it is when gullible people order the seller then goes to their local Bunnings store and then to the post office and send it to you. Their action has turned the item into a 2nd hand Item - you have bought a 2nd hand item as new with no warranty and paid more than the new price - They are not going to send you the receipt as it would show the scam. You can't even report them to Bunnings as you don't know the name they have their Bunnings Trade account at. When you realize you have been taken eBay & Paypal will not tell you the real name of the person and contact details. If you had the details you would have a chance of receiving your warranty from Bunnings as Bunnings would be able to see they are misusing their Trade Account. If you are a victim of the Ryobi scam report the seller and eBay to the ACCC. This way eBay will think twice about protecting scam sellers as they protect them as it is virtually impossible for you to report them to eBay. If enough people complained to ACCC the ACCC could get eBay for false advertising but the ACCC only acts when they get a volume of complaints. eBay used to be a great online shopping site - I just come in here to complain about a seller who wrongly described the quality of Tapulins they were selling and that they were being sent from outside of Australia. 4 of them and one windy night and the wind destroyed the 4 of them they were advertised as having the strength to withstand wind.
The ACCC regarding the Ryobi sales by Bunnings would be pointless as a quick Google search would have shown you. Also there is nothing wrong with people onselling Ryobi tools from Bunnings, people buy online for many reasons including not having access to a Bunnings store.
Regarding the tarps why would you buy off a high-volume seller with such poor feedback in the first place ?
ronald, grow up and get your facts correct. Caveat emptor.
