How can I delete items from my Watch List when "Delete" does not work ?

Why wont the "Delete" in Lists not work ?

Click to the far  left of the item to be deleted ,in the box, this turns the item a  different colour, then check the arrow at the top of the Watch list next to delete, click this delete button, and selected items are  deleted .
