Hi all,
I am in the middle of a very tough situation, where I bought an item and didn't receive it due to local postal service laws.
I bought a car spoiler on the 15th of November 2024 from the US and had an estimated shipping time from 22nd of November to 6th of December. I was waiting for the package and had messaged the seller on the 18th of December as I didn't think much about receiving it due to delays and especially coming from the US.
From then the seller has told me that I had to contact my local postal service (AusPost) to which they told me that the package was not compliant with the size limit legally allowed by AusPost international postal service (I have emailed them directly and they have told me this through email). AusPost has told me they will be sending the package back which is fine and I have told the seller that is what has happened. The seller has told me he would give me a refund once the package is returned to them.
I have been messaging the seller since then and he has not replied to any of my messages. It has been a few months and I have not gotten anything from this interaction. I have put in a request to ebay which ended up not helping as all the seller did was update the shipping details and I couldn't do anything from that.
Is there anything I can do from here? It seems I have exhausted all my options of getting my money back and its really frustrating because the seller is not helping me at all and the little help he has given me is just dry unhelpful messages.
Thanks,
Alex
