Must live in the same country as the seller?

Hi,

After 12 years of eBay expereince I ended up in Can't pay for the item situation.

When I try to pay using PayPal the following error appears:

"To pay using PayPal, direct debit, or credit card, you must live in the same country as the seller. Please select a different payment method."

I am in Australia and have US based shipping address.

I tried different browsers and different computers but same happens.

Also tried with credit card and it just come back "Somethng went wrong" rejecting the payment.

Why this happens? What is the solution?

can you go to ebay.com and pay from there?

I just did a google search on that error message, one solution may be to contact the seller. They may be able to disable or adjust a setting that will allow you to pay.
