Please explain how I can attach a receipt or document to an ebay message.

I have returned a defective item to a seller, who requested a receipt of the postage cost involved.
I tried to attach it through the ''Attach photo's here'' forum but was then told there was a problem involved. Consequently, my message to the seller went without the attachment.
Has anyone out there got any helpful suggestions please?

Scan or photograph the receipt and email it direct to the seller, their email address should appear on the paypal payment details, alternatively photocopy it and post it to them, or take a picture with your phone ask for their mobile number and sms it to them.
Did you try to attach it to a message today? if so Friday being maintenance day there are regular glitches, you might like to try again first.
