Seller unresponsive, negative feedback disappeared?

Hi All,

 

I made a not so insignificant purchase on here recently, upon which the seller became un-responsive. After several weeks of waiting for the item to arrive, despite having no indication of it being sent, I contacted eBay support and received a refund.

 

I also left, what I feel is a justified, negative feedback response for the seller. Upon checking the status of the item (to see if it had been re-listed) I noticed that my negative feedback had been wiped from the sellers profile.

 

Can someone explain to me why this might be the case? Isn't the feedback mechanism designed for exactly this purpose?

Well it would seem the seller is aware of their rights as well as ebays policies, and was able to satisfy ebay that the feedback you left should be removed.

There are numerous reasons the seller could have been un-responsive, (Actually don't know that there is any requirement for a seller to be responsive) and there are also numerous reasons FB can be removed.
