Good morning.I wonder if I could some advice as to my rights in this situation.I purchased a wardrode on the 8th November via Best Offer.
I paid for it via Bank Transfer same day.(I normaly use PayPal)I had a removal man pick it up for me last Saturday at a cost of $150.00.I could not go to the sellers place as my husband ended up in hospital.I was very upset to discover the damage to the wardrobe as it was not as described. It was so badly damaged it was unusable ie attached to a wall by the side panel with nails and screws! Then I discovered the dimensions were wrong.I got on to eBay and they contacted the seller as she would not respond to me initially. She had mentioned that she is within her rights to hold onto my money untill she has all the "bits" back in her possession.eBay did request that she give me a full refund plus removal cost.I do understsnd I am not entitled to the cost of transportation only the cost of the item. The pickup was to be at midday this coming Sunday It has now been changed to 3:30 4:00.When I mentioned it was not suitable as I had arranged for someone to be home at midday she told me it was the later time or nothing..Am I entitled to ask for my refund via PayPal so I can get my money straight away?I feel so intimadated by this person I am afraid to do anything to rock the boat!
I have done all the things that I was advised and this seller still insists I am at her mercy and eBay are on her side. She has made out that I am the one at fault.
This has been my worst eBay experience .This is the item number (321572647799) if you want to have a look I just wish you could see the corrospondance!
I have bought to and sold items from long way away and used removal men without seeing the item and I have never had a problem. :((
