Today eBay did not accept my carefully entered password.

When eBay did not accept my carefully entered password (several times) to make a purchase, I attempted to create a new account. eBay then told me my email address is already associated with another account (and I know that would be my normal account) and would not let me proceed. It was the same email address that I used when trying to sign in earlier. Normally I have no trouble signing in to make a purchase on eBay.
How do I get my usual password recognized for making future purchases?

This is often due to a site glitch or a browser problem.
Try clearing cookies n temp internet files then clear history on your browser. (Use Chrome or Firefox)
Restart computer and try again.
Make sure your eBay ID name is exactly correct. (No spaces)
