Tried to 'Buy It Now' and got error message: The seller can't accept payments. Seller can't fix it.

I tried to buy an item by clicking 'Buy It Now' and got the message:
The seller can't accept payments right now. Please contact the seller.
Seller says: I had updated my email address earlier and for some reason I do not think the link had been confirmed properly.
Says she fixed the email confirmation, but buying still doesn't work.
Anyone familiar with this issue?

When the seller updated her email in PayPal, had she also changed the email address on the actual listing in eBay ?
