I won an auction but after I won and inquired about payment, the seller told me the item had already been sold.
What do I now do about the payment reminders I'm getting for something I will never pay for?
What about giving feedback - I was pretty disappointed about this situation?
The reminder is from ebay and is just an automated one sent at 48 hours after sale. Just ignore it.
If the seller tries to open an unpaid item case to recoup fees just call ebay and explain seller is refusing to honour sale.
Feedback is up to you. You could put something like " Won auction, seller refused to honour sale"
Unfortunately there are many new sellers on ebay and many don't understand the rules properly.
It sometimes happens they list an item on gumtree as well, then forget the ebay listing after it's sold and only receive notification via email after it sells on ebay.
